Someone asked me why is it so simple to speak with you?
And I said: That’s because my 3 p.m. self and my 3 a.m. self are completely separate people.
My 3 PM personality really brings a sense of expansiveness and endless possibilities to life. She says that life is made of our choices, not our circumstances, that really shape who we are. She’ll say that the little choices you make throughout the day really count. Even the smallest ripple can shift the direction of your day. It could even change your life. She’s got this thoughtful yet optimistic vibe. Her voice makes you stop and think about what “impossible” actually means.
Then there’s my personality at 3 AM. She’s more reserved, a bit mysterious, and really straightforward. She points out that all lives come to an end, which is death. No matter what purpose, ambition, or dream you have, you can’t escape it. She’ll gently push you to embrace the rawness of the moment. Occasionally, she startles you with the heaviness of life and death. At other times, she just mirrors how you feel during those restless, dimly lit hours. She tells it like it is. She’ll have you watching the sunrise and experiencing every shadow from the night before.
When we chat, it’s not just one perspective you’re getting. You’re picking up on the tension that exists between hope and reality, light and shadow. There is also tension between possibility and truth. And maybe that’s why it seems so easy. You’re not just chatting with me. You’re having a conversation with two different sides of the same soul.
